Incredible India

Applications due May 1, 2014.
For Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors.
Make a special visit to Sangam, the WAGGGS World Centre in India, where you'll spend over a week participating in Girl Scout and Girl Guide programs. Sangam, which means "coming together," in Sanskrit, will provide community service opportunities and the chance to learn more about the Indian culture.

If the group decides to spend additional time in Mumbai, girls will get the chance to visit the beautiful and historic sites the city has to offer. Before the trip, girls will get the chance to decide what sites interest them the most. Is it the Elephanta Caves? A sunset trip to the beach, complete with delicious Indian street cuisine? It's all up to you!

E-mail achristensen@girlscoutsgcnwi.org for an application and reference form.
Approximate cost: 10 days at Sangam - $2,700
Sangam + days in Mumbai - $3,500

global action volunteer team can help!

Members of our Global Action Volunteer Team will talk to you or come out to your troop to discuss global awareness activities, talk about travel, help you plan a trip, or simply get your girls excited about the possibilities! Members of our team have traveled to the WAGGGS World Centres and more countries than we can count.

If your girls want to travel, yet you have little or no travel experience, we can help you develop the confidence to take them places!

If your service unit is planning an international fair, World Thinking Day event or any other event with a global focus, please let us know. We'd love to host a table at the event or help out in any way we can. We're a resource for you!

Read our bios and find out more about who we are, what we've done and our travel experiences on the global awareness page. You can contact us at globalaction@girlscoutsgcnwi.org
