Taking Action Internationally

When I completed my Girl Scout Gold Award, Political Forum for Teens (P.F.T.), as a sophomore in high school I felt accomplished as though all my experiences and adventures in Girl Scouting had led to this. One of my adventures being to Joshua Tree National Park near Palm Springs, Calif., where I rock climbed and built fond memories with about 11 other girls from across the U.S. for a week. An important experience I had as well was the opportunity to serve for my council as a girl representative at the 2005 National Girl Scout Convention held in Atlanta, Ga. This encouraged me to once again apply and then again be selected as a girl representative for the 2008 National Girl Scout Convention held in Indianapolis, Ind.  Read More
